The new 2023 Nissan Rogue is about to hit the road and promises to be one of the hottest SUVs of the year. There are some exciting upgrades in this lineup, such as a new Midnight Edition package, now available for the Rogue SV. Platinum's flagship model brings Amazon’s Alexa as a standard voice assistant feature, also available for the Rogue SL.
Performance and Driveability
There are two engines available for this lineup: a 1.5L DIG Turbocharged engine and a 2.5L DIG engine. The first option is also the most powerful. It’s a CV-Turbo (Variable Compression Turbo) engine, which delivers 201hp, a torque capacity of 225 lb-ft, and tows up to 680kg.
The second option comes with 181hp, a torque capacity of 181 lb.-ft, and a towing capacity of about 612kg. The fuel consumption of the 1.5L engine is 9L/100km in the city and 7.1L/100km on highways. The 2.5L engine is more demanding: it makes 8.4L/100km and 6.7L/100km, respectively.

Interior and Exterior
The whole lineup is quite spacious and has up to 2,098L cargo space when the second row of seats is folded. All trims have heated front and back seats and different lumbar adjustments for the driver’s seat. The temperature is controlled via a dual-zone system for most trims; the flagship model has a tri-zone automatic climate control system.
Other standard perks include cup and bottle holders, a front center console, and sun visors. The exterior design also has some features that are common to all trims. These include LED taillights and headlights, heated outside mirrors, and splash guards (front and rear).
Some features are only available for the Midnight Edition and upper trims, like a dual panoramic moonroof, roof rails, and power liftgate. All trims have the same interior and exterior dimensions, such as length, height, width, legroom and head space.
Tech and Safety
The new lineup also comes with upgraded tech features and more driving assists. Basic models have a NissanConnect 8 touchscreen display, while the Platinum comes with a NissanConnect 9 touchscreen display. The Platinum also comes with a 12.3-inch digital dashboard.
All models have integration with Android Auto, but Apple CarPlay isn’t available for the flagship model. Still, Platinum includes a SiriusXM Traffic and Travel subscription. As for driving assists, this lineup comes with cruise control, intelligent brake assist, emergency braking, automatic rear braking, VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control), lane departure warning, and more. Traffic sign recognition and a multidirectional sonar system are available only for the highest trim.
Trims and Prices
There are five trims available for this lineup, most of them with both AWD and FWD drivetrains.
